Alongside the school's boys' team, the PE department also fielded a strong girls team at the English Schools' Athletics meet in Stretford on Wednesday

The girls all performed to an outstanding level and were a credit to the school. We had some stand out performances including two results from Fola Fasehun who smashed the year 8 200m record by over 3 seconds with a time of 27.7 seconds and also came in first for javelin with a throw of 18.61m.

Angela Saiti and Abigail Steele-Lesh both won their 100m events and Lily Philbin came in first for the Year 7s in the 1500m race with a fantastic time of 5 minutes 52 seconds!

The year 9 and 10 girls team came a fantastic 4th place!

The school is incredibly proud of the achievements of all the teams at this meet. Well done to all.
