Little Lever Olympic Relay: Thursday 24th May
As the 2012 Olympic Games draws closer, the Olympic torch begins to make it’s way through the UK towards London, travelling through Bolton on the 31st May. To celebrate this moment, Little Lever School - in partnership with other schools in the borough - will be running it’s very own Olympic Torch Run from Farnworth to Little Lever.
The school’s elite athletes will be representing the school in this prestigious event, running the torch from Farnworth precinct to Little Lever School (approx 1.6 miles). Members of the PE department will be accompanying the runners.
We will be receiving the torch at 11.20am in Farnworth precinct and passing it over to Bowness Primary School at 11.40am. You are welcome to come and show your support and watch the runners arrive at Little Lever School at approximately 11.35am.
The torch will continue to be passed to a number of schools in Little Lever. The run will conclude at Mytham Primary School, where at 2.30pm a celebration event will commence which is expected to finish at 3.15pm.
