The PE Department's Germany Football Tour


A group of Year 8-10 students took part in a football tour to Cologne over the half term holiday. They participated in training sessions by Koln FC coaches at the first team training facilities and at the training facilities in the grounds of the RheinEnergieStadion. They got to experience a sold out 50000 Bundesliga match between Koln FC Vs Paderborn Fc where Koln won 3-0.

Other highlights included a match played against German local team and all teams won their matches: Girls 3-2, U13’s 5-2, U14’s 9-4 and U/15/16’S 13-0.

They also had a tour around Borussia Dortmund and stood in the end of the yellow wall made famous by its unbelieveable atmosphere. Students also visited the Cologne Cathedral and Olympic Museum to expand their cultural knowledge.

The students also got to enjoy and show off their bowling skills as well as visiting Phantasialand with some of the best roller coasters the students had been on.
