Year 11 PHOTOGRAPHY October half term must-do task

All Year 11 Photography students must complete the following tasks over the October half term holiday and return them to school the week commencing Monday 30th October.

GCSE Year 11 Photography October Half-Term Must-Do Task

  1. Depending on which project you have been working on this half term since September (Urban, Detail, Architecture, Animals), the PowerPoint to go with this project must be completed and the final edits to go with it.

The PowerPoint must include the following slides:

Title page

At least 3 slides with written research and images of the type of photography and key photographers linked to the theme (e.g. Urban: ‘What is urban photography?’, Paul Politis, ‘People Will Always Need Plates’, Nicholas Goodden, Shinichi Higashi)

Photo shoot plan slide

Contact sheet slide(s)

Photoshop editing slides showing screenshots and annotations on how and why you have edited in such a way

A written plan on how you will present your final prints.

You need to make sure all you final Photoshop edits are saved as JPEG files in a folder ready for printing.


2. Produce an additional photoshoot for your second or third project which will be worked on in lessons from October to December. REMEMBER; A PHOTO SHOOT MUST CONSIST OF AT LEAST 30 PHOTOGRAPHS OF SUBJECT MATTER TAKEN FROM DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS.
