A Great Transition Day with our New Year 7s

Today we welcomed and hosted all our new Year 7s for their Transition Day. The day started with an assembly with our Principal, Senior Leaders and our Student Leadership Committee outlining our core values and how to be a kind, hard working and responsible Little Lever student.

Next students participated in an an aspirations lesson with the form teacher, thinking about ideas for their future and what they would love to do when they’re older. They then experienced lessons in art, maths, literacy, reading, music and science.

After lunch, students got a taster of some of our enrichment clubs, such as DofE, science, sports, geography and history.

To end the day everyone got the opportunity to take part in a Praise Auction, using stickers they had earned through the day to bid for a range of prizes from chocolates, art sets, netballs, lego sets, gift vouchers, scooter, footballs, stationary sets, airpods and ipads.

Students left with a postcard and chocolate as a thank you from us. The school was highly impressed with the manners, kindness, effort and enthusiasm shown by everyone today. We can’t wait to see them all again in September.

Finally, our student helpers from our other year groups were magnificent today, a massive well done and thank you to them as well.
