There has been an update to the below information that we have recieved today-
The road works and closures will take place from 21st May, daily at 9am, for 10 day. This means the morning bus route for students will not be affect and will take the usual route, however the afternoon journey home will be affected and follow the diversion below.
We have been made aware of resurfacing works, which will affect the 916 bus route service that many students use for school travel.
Please see below for full closure information. We have no further information on how long these road works will be in place for.
There is now a closure in place for resurfacing at Castle Street, Bolton which will affect the 916 service.
The diversion will be as follows:
From Bradford Street, Right onto BROMWICH STREET then Left onto WHEATFIELD STREET then Right onto RADCLIFFE ROAD, normal route
The reverse: Normal route to Radcliffe Road then Left onto WHEATFIELD STREET then Right onto BROMWICH STREET then Left onto BRADFORD STREET.
Any pupils waiting for the bus at the Castle street will need to wait at the bus stop near the junction of Radcliffe Rd & Darcy Street (Bus stop MANPJDAJ).
