Earlier this year, the planting of a small woodland of trees near our Catering block took place, as a part of the City of Trees initiative.
Phase 2 of the tree project is now complete. City of Trees came back this week to plant 5 large mature blossom trees. Students will be able to see the trees from the yard and out of the windows at the back of the school. These trees will provide shade in the summer on the yard, nectar for pollinating insects, habitats and a food source for birds and small animals, and will look beautiful full of blossom this time next year.
We are very lucky to receive the large trees as funding had to be applied for which we were able to secure. I’m sure you will agree they make a welcome addition to our wonderful school and will look forward to watching them grow.
