Edge Time Well-Being Sessions

Dear families,

We would like to thank all our students and all parents and carers for a magnificent effort so far with Remote Learning. We know this is a difficult time but we wanted to recognise the magnificent efforts of your children who have engaged with remote learning brilliantly throughout this time! They have been a credit to the school, their families and the Little Lever community and we are very proud of their efforts so far!

We are also aware that throughout lockdown it is important that students manage themselves well. Getting into good routines, ensuring manageable amounts of screen time as well as sticking to good sleep patterns are key things we can all do to look after our bodies and minds throughout lockdown. Working for prolonged periods remotely through a national lockdown is difficult and we wanted to help our students and families manage themselves in the remaining weeks of the lockdown period.

We would like to provide students with one session a week of well-being where screen time is minimised. The session will always start on Meet with their Edge Tutor in their Edge Tutor Google Classroom. It will last for about 20 minutes for a well-being catch up and the register will be taken as normal. The students will then be tasked with things to do offline that are good for their well-being. We would love students to send in photographs of what they got up to so we can give out reward points. The offline tasks shouldn’t involve parents so that you too can have a breather from home schooling.

The sessions are:

Friday 5th February – session 1. Please note session 2 and 3 will be normal lessons

Friday 12th February – session 3

Thursday 25th February – session 3

Wednesday 3rd March – session 3

Kind regards,
Dominic Mckeon.
