We are delighted that Mr Mckeon, our principal, has been designated as a National Leader of Education (NLE). Mr Mckeon has been selected by the Department for Education to join a team of National Leaders of Education.
‘NLE’s are outstanding headteachers who, together with the staff in their national support school, use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances. In addition to leading their own schools, NLEs work to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards.’ (DfE, 2022)
NLE’s are selected as a result of their work in helping school’s to rapidly improve. Mr Mckeon writes,
“I am delighted to have been designated a National Leader of Education, but this is a testament to the great team we have at Little Lever. We will never stop trying to continually improve the quality of education we provide our children and we will be relentless in our pursuit of the highest standards for all our children at Little Lever. We are very excited that we have been recognised by the DfE for the brilliant work that has taken place at Little Lever and we are looking forward to help and support other schools around the North West so we can help more children improve their life chances.”
