After settling in our Year 7s to our daily routines, we will now begin a period of assessments to gather more accurate data on your child’s cognitive skills and reading ages.
During the course of this half term, your child will sit a reading age test to establish a current reading age in their English lessons.
In addition all Year 7 students will be taking a CAT4 test.
The results of both these assessments will provide greater clarity for all teachers to re-shape their lessons, ensuring every student is able to access appropriate levels of learning successfully.
