After settling in our Year 7s back into school life on a full-time basis, we will now begin a period of assessments to gather more accurate data on your child’s cognitive skills and reading ages in light of the fact that we have no KS2 SAT scores to work with.
Over the next two weeks, your child will sit a reading age test to establish a current reading age. In the second half of the Autumn term we will be running a day of CAT4 tests. The results of both these assessments will inform setting in core subjects, and allow all teachers to re-shape their lessons to ensure every student is able to access appropriate levels of learning successfully.
