What is happening with Transition this year?

Following the delay of the easing of lockdown restrictions and the subsequent DfE guidance around events we can hold in school, we have reluctantly had to cancel the scheduled face-to-face Transition Day visit next week (Friday 2nd July) and the additional Transition Day on the 30th June. We are obviously very disappointed that we can’t meet our new Year 7s.

In light of this, we have two alternative ways in which we will conduct our transition this year.

The first is a new webpage which provides you with a full picture of the school. New Year 7 Edge (form) Tutors have recorded welcome videos, introducing themselves to their form. You will also find which Edge form students will be in and which House they will belong to (this informs the colour of their school tie).

This will be launched in the middle of next week.

The second part of our transition programme arrives in September. Year 7 will be the only year group in the building on the first day of school. Every member of staff will be on-hand to support and guide them through the building, rooms, their timetable, breaks, lunches and our expectations and protocols.

So firstly, sit back and take your time navigating this webpage via the pink drop down menus. We hope it answers the many questions you may have about joining Little Lever School. If you have any further questions, please email Mrs Leigh, our Leader of Transition on sle@little-lever.bolton.sch.uk

We can’t wait to see you all in September!
