To support all Year 11 students in the run up to their first set of Standard Assessments, which will be their Mock Exam 1, we will be providing a series of after school sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays called Academic Enrichment.
These sessions are compulsory and ALL students must attend. Registers will be taken and consequences issued for failure to attend.
Each Academic Enrichment session runs from 3pm to 3.45pm. Parents, carers and students will see their Academic Enrichment classes on their timetables.
The sessions will be a combination of taught, subject specific sessions in core subjects and/or option subjects taught by their subject teacher and Practice Time study sessions, supervised by members of the Senior Leadership Team. Your child has been given a bespoke timetable which is personal to what they study at GCSE and where they have gaps in knowledge.
Practice Time sessions consists of students working independently on revision or retrieval practice tasks, which will support their revision schedule leading up to Mock Exam 1.
Academic Enrichment will start on Monday 16th September and run every week for the next four weeks. The final Academic Enrichment session for this term will be on Thursday 10th October. Here is an overview of the Academic Enrichment Sessions Calendar.
