Year 11 Period 0 / 7 Attendance Stars

Throughout the last half term (October – December), each subject area in school provided additional Period 0s (8am lessons) and Period 7s (3.05pm lessons) to support Year 11s in the run up to their first set of mock exams in December. These provided opportunites for students to catch-up on any lost learning or to go into more depth on particularly challenging topics in the curriculum.

We have been tracking the attendance of our Period 0/7 sessions and are pleased to announce that the attendance to them has been excellent. The following students have been recognised for attending 5 to 9 sessions over the course of the half term.

In addition, there are a number of students who went on to attend 10 or more sessions, which is fantastic.

All the students listed above will receive reward points this week in recognition for their fantastic dedication to their learning.

As stated in Mr Mckeon’s letter to Year 11, we aim to provide another set of mock exams after lockdown finishes and will continue with our Period 0/7 lessons, intervention days, etc. remotely through this term to support our Year 11 students in ensuring they are able to achieve the best set of GCSE results, regardless of whether they are CAG’s or exams.
